It's hot again! :(

I really need to start writing more! And being more visible, lol...

I just wanted to point out that I have finally added some sketches on here.
Also, most important thing for that update would be finishing the painting of the Nymph...

I have loads of work to do, mostly commissions, writing an essay and finishing a summer project for uni. That being said, I don't know if I will continue Illustration... there's uni in Cardiff with Game Art. I'm really tempted to start my second year there, but then again... what if it's not gonna be better than the one I'm in already T_T Hard life! 

I don't have a pug yet. 

After such a long break...

I haven't posted for about a year. It was a time of absolute changes, so I feel excused. ╮(╯▽╰)╭

The biggest change is moving out to a complete new country (while I have never been abroad before...) and getting into university. It's almost eight months since I arrived in the UK and I still can't believe it... There are ups and downs, as always but in general my life is way better now than it was before, though I am completely broke (which isn't funny XD).

I could probably write a hundred pages essay about how I find things here but I'll try to limit it somehow. :S
My university is a really nice place with amazingly helpful tutors and staff, though there are things I am unhappy with. That's probably normal and there's no perfect place really, even if I'd transfer so another uni... I suppose the most important thing is that I feel fairly safe and confident here, cause I'd hate it with some dickhead tutors X_X
Sadly, I couldn't really make any friends yet. Not sure if I'm the problem or the others are simply not interested in foreign friends, or maybe a bit of both? I have two friends (one of them being from uni) so it's not THAT bad but still...
Basicly I struggle a bit with English while it comes to speaking. I'm fine with typing but speaking is a nightmare, cause I haven't had much of a chance to speak before moving out. Now I don't have it either (cause of friends situation) so it's kind of a dead end ಥ_ಥ

Other than that, I find it better here. The weather isn't that hot which is great, though I miss snow. :( Being a vegan is also easier here... makes my diet harder haha, cause of all those vegan sweets I could buy. All those yoghurts and desserts, frozen meals, alternative drinks (choco soy <3)... but yeah, I need to watch what I buy (both diet and money wise). Strangers are friendly, I can wear whatever I want and noone says anything. In fact, people are so open they sometimes greet me, smile to me and compliment - that's just WOW, amazing change after years of being bullied.

ANYWAY. I'm glad I'm here!

Now, as for my artwork and stuff... I've done quite a lot (not as much as I'd like to though) and I'm gonna work even more, that's the only way... ^_^
I'll upload some new sketches and stuff and I'll add a link to my course's blog.

This week I will be mainly working on a painting for upcoming painting competition. The deadline is on 21st so hopefully I'll manage to finish it on time...
I also have five commissions to finish, one of then being almost done.
Have plenty of plans as well, but I'm gonna focus on the painting this week.

No time for anything.

Not only I don't have time for my dolls, I also don't have time for finishing my selfmade doll nor sewing. All I have to focus on is portfolio. And school. Happily, portfolio is almost done, only 3 pieces to finish. And then I have to take a lot of tests in school. Even when I pass all those tests, there will be still more to do. Meh. I suppose I won't be doing a lot creative things until I finally finish my High School and move out.

No photos today, I don't only have no time, I am also sick.

Phew! I am so tired of painting, I should have chosen smaller size of a cardboard I am painting on. ><
Nothing new, just a small photo of some colours.

Finished illustration, new sketch and some sugar.

I finally finished this illustration I have started a long time ago, it took me a lot of time and work X_x This is probably this moment when I have to stop myself and consider this work to be finish as I no longer know what more should I improve.

Coloured with markers (Copic, Touch and Promarker) and a little bit of acrylic paint (for tiny grass and white elements, like snow on the top of mountains). On A4 paper. This took me aprox. 25 hours X_x Sniff. I need to learn to be faster...

And here's new sketch, I want to make it on A3 paper with acrylic paints or ink pencils, or maybe both, I am still not sure which will fits better.

And about sugar... yesterday was Santa Claus day. It's difficult for Santa (mom XP) to buy some sweets for me as I am vegan and here, in Poland, there's not a lot of vegan candies. But I got some awesome and full of sugar sweets like chocolate/hazelnut vegan cream... it tastes just like Nutella : O <3 And I got some cash for my upcoming Derwent Coloursoft pencils : > Which I will be buying after Christmas. 

Now I am finishing last make-up comission.
